You can buy a sensor from https://precisionmeters.co.za/smart-water-meters/, that fits in the port on the left, its about R150, then hook it up to a esp32 with esphome.I just installed one of these inline after the pump to be able to take readings manually.

You bought the Chinese knockoff which doesn't have the aperture for a hall-effect sensor. If you had one of the Elster Kent ones I would have been able to make you something.I just installed one of these inline after the pump to be able to take readings manually.
