Iconic ProNutro cereal discontinued in South Africa

Not surprised.. It went downhill effing quickly after they released their wheat free and gluten free k@k that tasted like it was completely made out of chemicals..

If it ain't broke, don't fix it..

Not really a surprise tbh, especially if the manufacturing process was very energy intensive.

But then be open and upfront as a company that there isn't enough of a market to justify the expense, don't sneakily try and change the manufacturing process and act surprised when people get upset about it.

Did not know that. Tried some a while ago at a stay in a BnB, it was awful, assumed my taste had changed, since I last had the stuff when I was a kid, threw the rest in the garbage.
 
They didnt discontinue the iconic Pronutro.

The iconic one was discontinued a while ago when they f#cked up the recipe to create the "new and improved" Pronutro, which was now discontinued.

Just bring back the damn real iconic one.

"energy intensive" Translate: Too expensive. Not enough profit.

Thread 'LIVE cockroach in Futurelife cereal'

Couldn't believe my eyes when I found a sizeable and very much alive cockroach in a box of future life I bought in this week.

Unfortunately I had a 2 - 3 large servings before I uncovered the roach.. and no, it couldn't have crept in there because I've never seen this species of roach before in my house let alone area AND I make sure to close the box after and put it back in the cupboard when I'm done. It was pretty deep in there too...

Just a serious PSA to everyone. I for one am never touching future life ever again in my life!

What recourse do I have here guys?

The closest to pronutro is Woolworths high energy cereal.. a little more chunky, but far more edible than futurelife..
 
was this the "new" pronutro , don't see anything healhty on there.

anybody still have an old box

Very likely, but also if it was energy intensive, then what was likely reasonable margins 15 years ago has steadily become not reasonable due to the insane electricity price increases.

Therefore people can rant at the ANC as they are the cause of ProNutro no longer being available to the public... Another good story to tell :P
