The Rugby Thread - Part Deux

The Aussies are most certainly back big time after a shocking 2023/24 season where they lost almost every international ( won only 2 out of 9 ! )
I've been watching their results over the last year and the improvement with a new manager and Hooper out the way is nothing short of remarkable.

Considering we're ranked #1 and they are still sitting at #7 ( with nearly 12 points ahead of them), their display today in the 1st half, competing with us at every aspect of the game, scrum, lineouts, breakdowns,...and more worrying their fast swinging out wide attack down the sideliness is impressive! Reminds me of the Kiwis style of play.

Trust me I'm no Aussie fan, esp because of their cricket history against us since the early 90s and they're a rude, arrogant bunch :) .. but credit where credit is due...if we don't slow down the game and play at our pace we could be in for a shocker!

Les Kiss coaching career history is very interesting to say the least.

See quite SA influence.

I really hope we see Aussies perform for Bledisloe and at least push the Aussies. Aussies showing some strength in alot of areas ABs were proven weak during the tour.

No one really putting their hand up to get into the 1st team...

Australia is very clearly good on the high ball... yet we keep kicking the ball up. Fair play to Australia for pitching up but would be great if the boks learn to change their game plan during the game if it clearly is not working. We can't always bully other teams to a win with same game plan.

I'll console myself with the fact that this was not our first team. Just goes to show that our "depth" not that deep against quality teams... well done Australia.
