Are you also annoyed with vague, clickbait article headings on MyBB, and topics that get rehashed over and over? Annoyed that you need to click through to find out what "300 year old town" refers to?
I wrote a Chrome extension that fixes that using Deepseek.
It's called NoMyBB (which should be read as a response to "My Broadband" to say "No! - MY broadband" i.e. you taking back control)
It passes the heading and the referred article text to the AI and gets a new title back as well as an article summary (which is shown on the click through article page).
Article titles are replaced with the clearer ones, with a lightbulb icon where you can see the original title on hover.
Setup
In the extension settings you need to provide your Deepseek API key (get one for free at platform.deepseek.com - you get a few $ initial credit which should go a long way before you need to top up)
Then you can also add a few topics which you're sick of hearing about - those articles will just disappear off the home page.
There's also an Advanced section where you can tweak the CSS selectors which determine where the headings are, where to insert the summary, etc.
Works well for mybroadband.co.za and businesstech.co.za - Newsday is experimental.

Examples
Here's a screenshot of today's list without the plugin running:

and here it is AFTER the plugin has run (notice the Eskom article is gone as per my settings):

It's fun! If you'd like to also run this, get the extension files from GitHub.
Let me know if you need help setting it up, but it's as easy as cloning the files to a folder on your PC, open Chrome, open a tab to chrome://extensions/, click "Load unpacked" and point it to the source folder.
EDIT: the repo now contains both the Chrome (`nomybb` folder) as well as a Firefox extension (`nomybbff` folder).
The README file contains instructions on how to install both.
Note re Chrome: if you want to update the plugin after first config then do not remove it from Chrome - just add again from the folder with the new version, then it will preserve your settings.
Small difference for Firefix: in the case of Chrome you add the extension by pointing to the nomybb folder, but in the case of Firefox you need to go into the nomybbff folder and point to the `manifest.json` file.
I've changed both plugins so that it no longer shows any visual indication once titles have been cleaned the only way to tell is to hover over one and see if there's a tooltip with the old title.
Enjoy!
