I got a small extension for Chrome/Brave/etc made for the power users on MyBroadband.

Features:
  • Block Threads: Hide specific discussions from the main list and "New Posts."
  • Block Sections: Wipe entire sub-forums (e.g., "Off-Topic") from your homepage and activity feeds.
  • Block Users: Completely vanish threads started by specific users, AND hide their posts inside other threads. Also blocks threads if the blocked user is the last poster
  • Lightweight: Runs locally in your browser with no tracking or external ads.
  • Real-Time: Content disappears instantly; no page refresh required.

Includes useful features like a global on/off button, import/export function and a little hit counter to show you how many things the extension has blocked on a page.

There are already some members who have access to this plugin and have been testing it, so all bugs should be ironed out., however your input is most valuable.

Would have been great if it supported this.

I actually don't think they do. I could switch to Kiwi or another browser if I wasn't lazy.

This does exactly the thing I was asking for which is that blocked users no longer push threads into NEW POSTS when they post in a thread. It's like mybb premium without the cost.

This is excellent, thanks for the good work. Like some others have said, would be awesome for mobile, but understandably extensions for mobile devices and iOS in particular aren't always possible.
 
This is great.

Would be better if it would prevent you from seeing threads started by certain users .e.g. those annoying daily investor threads, etc.

That's what it does? Alternatively just use the tool to block the whole daily investor section.
