Why did Mulder not call for the review?

[Neoprod]

Why did Mulder not call for the review?

Needed about 10% of Vern's over-confidence there.

Wiaan gets head. Not a great delivery but he deserved that wicket.

[sand_man]

Head gone...

[handyman007]

On field umpire missed Head's wicket as well...

[stefan9]

That was a painful innings from maddinson.

Yip. Zero credibility these umpires. That's what happens when you do a job where you're above reproach, from the players anyway.

And of course, now the players lose confidence in the umps to make the right decisions so they start sending nonsense up for review.

[Devo1]

See the no-ball curse is still with the test team. Even without Rabada

[L-Dog]

Smith and Labuschagne must be the most irratiting batting partnership to watch..

[Lawnchairman]

Good start by the Proteas. Good to see an Aussie kicked down.

[stefan9]

Very lucky marnus there.

[Cius]

Maddinson. Getting a duck of 33 balls in the first innings of a test. Is he trying to get dropped from the squad? This is not day 5 when trying to eek out a draw after all. Just not good enough in the modern cricket era.

[Neoprod]

That's a lot of turn for the first session of day 1.

[stefan9]

Another dismal attendance from Durban...

Work day pal but yeah, Durban not renowned for filling stadiums...

[Ecco]

Another dismal attendance from Durban...

Aaron: "I know its midweek, but it is still amazing how empty the ground is, definitely worrying for SA test cricket."

[stefan9]

Wiaan takes marnus out with the last ball before lunch.

[sand_man]

Timely wicket!! Wow, that's a bonus for sure...
