Almost done with the Assassin's Apprentice. It's been a bit of a slog, and a rather depressing read. Not sure if I'm going to continue with the rest of the series once I'm done.
FP is just such an odd way to tell a story, so many books I have abandoned due to the jarring nature of reading (or hearing) the story being told in the first person.I started the Audiobook about 2 weeks ago but gave up due to the first person narrative. I just don't enjoy it in an audiobook.
RIP !Moved on to Lies of Locke Lammora which I'm enjoying so far. (Fanie Dry (RIP) sent it to me years ago)

I'm wanting to try this series, but from my brief research there are something like 19 books, and they are all kinda rinse and repeat?Listening to the audiobooks of the Expeditionary Force Series by Craig Alanson.
I finished it today and the last few chapters were great, I can't say the pay off was worth it though, still unsure if I should continue as the pace is just too slow. I've got Dark Matter, Empire of the Vampire and The Nord Stream Conspiracy lined up next so plenty of good options.I started the Audiobook about 2 weeks ago but gave up due to the first person narrative. Listening to the audiobooks of the dungeon crawler carl series. Enjoying them a lot.
I normally read and listen to the same book.. I'm not for this.Must say it’s the first time an audiobook has worked for me, it fits the format well.
Still would only listen to it when stuck in the car.
Don’t think I could stand reading it.
What you mean like at the same time? Nee fok I would lose my mind.I normally read and listen to the same book.. I'm not for this.
Please, for this ignorant soul, how do you listen when in the car? Ear pods to phone? Is it possible to load or play audio books through the sound system in a car? TK in advanceMust say it’s the first time an audiobook has worked for me, it fits the format well.

Lol wtf, no not at the same time. I listen to the book in the car and that and then read it in bed. I usually try get to the end of a chapter either way so it's easier to track. What you mean like at the same time? Nee fok I would lose my mind.
