Australian cricket tour of South Africa September/October 2026

These two have to at least try stick it out until the new ball arrives in 12 overs. If an end is opened up by Australia before then, the tail could get skittled quickly.

wicket changed ..cant blame them

they had to face proper swing and bounce and pace

Our “proper” batters would find a way to get out in these conditions. Apart from Markram sometimes and mostly Bavuma this batting lineup is crap. How we have won so many tests with these batters over the past few years is a miracle.

that is true

no consistency anymore

and yeah those 2 have been our better batters

119 runs in a session. Can definitely claim that as ours. Proper effort from Bavuma and Jansen. While we are still not out of the woods, we are certainly on firmer footing.

Next goal, see off the next 8 overs before the new ball.

I think Aus have a good chance to still get a result here, If Travis Head gets going and scores freely then they are in the running

Given the time left and the current situation of the match, I would say a draw is the most likely outcome...

Let's see what the new ball does but I can't see anyone taking 20 wickets on here. Without the play from the first 2 days, there's no wear on the pitch...the bounce and pace should be like this for the rest of the match.

I think the Aussies have missed 1 catch so far in the series? Marnus yesterday? Their catching has been annoyingly impeccable! FFS!!

What does Temba do now. Does he play some shots to get quick runs now that he is with the tail? Or does he trust them to stick around for a bit...
