Alberta rejects secession referendum, chooses to remain part of Canada, CBC projects

Used 'cos you react to the label :giggle:

But clearly you have some Socialist preferences.

BTW, I like a very few of their ideas, but not as I've seen them in actual practice.

Yes, I think some sort of safety net for society is a good thing. In reality I'm probably far more of a capitalist than a lot of people who pretend to be, though.

I'm always happy to see celebrities stand up for decentralized governance.

I was happy, too, to see Sarah Silverman come out publically, during the most intense social tension bewteen Left and Right - I think it was in the leadup to 2020 changeover.

All she said was... we don't have to both lose by fighting... why don't we just get a divorce?

A rare moment of clarity, declared openly, to a large audience.

Warms my heart.

As I said in the original thread (on ignored news), a few days ago, it's interesting that Alberta LEAVE was polling at 25%.

Yet that was enough to consult the Albertan people, in a referendum.

The Cape was polling at 57% at one stage, yet... Winde, the establishment cuckster, thought he'd violate his oath by putting his own REMAIN preferences ahead of the peoples' freedom to express their preference..

Of course, a referendum back then was a huge risk to him in his mind as he knew that where there's smoke there's fire.

But the fire got quenched by too much day to day reality. So we gotta live with it.

FF+ might get us a few inches closer though

Randomly, what do celebrities actually know about governance in any real fashion that people should care about their opinion?

Cool, I'm not sure why some MMA fighter from a different country would be listened to, and neither did the people of Alberta apparently.

Anyway, the tribe has spoken.
