Latte is done.

AUDI IS AMAZING! I mean sure, the other German cars are not bad but if you're after perfection... :p
They seem tailored for folks who think they are car enthusiasts but really just want to pay more for basic VW appliance style drudgery, overservoed brakes, understeer and bizarre super aggressive styling.

I have only ever had one Audi, 2004 A4 Avant S-Line, despite it having the 1.8T 20V it is one of the best cars I have ever owned. Admittedly I am not a fan of most Audi's, S and RS variants excluded, the equivalent VW's are better in my option, Tiguan versus Q3 is a good example.

I went into a dealership to get pricing and see the Q3. the sales lady had no clue of what she was selling and didn't even offer to take me out for a test drive. I was more confused about pricing and options on the different versions of the car when I left than when I walked in.

I don't know what car you're referring to here, i've never seen that in an Audi. Are you mixing it up with Toyota?

Audi, for those discerning Stellenboschers and other "think-very-highly-of-themselves" types that need to make fashion statements.

Had an Audi for 13 years know, been very happy with it but things are not cheap to replace out of Warranty. To get a similar car these days is just silly money, so yes, as much as I'm an Audi fan, won't be getting another one.

They used to make better sounding V8s than BMW, I'll give you that, but it's a pretty low bar.

In any case, you thought your soccer mom Volvo shed was some sort of performance beast.

Speaking to my mechanic, another client with the same model as mine had a radiator fan break. Audi have quoted R55k for a new one.

The car is worth more in parts than fully assembled and functional.

you haven't seen understeer in an Audi?

then you've never pushed one anywhere near the limits for sure, it's built into their DNA what with most models being front wheel drive and even the quattro models having a front wheel bias

sure, it's probably the best handling FWD cars available, but they are still FWD at the end of the day

Any front wheel drive has built in understeer. It's not an audi thing. Its a physics thing

Yes, the understeer complaints come from the quattros which have 50/50 split so not front wheel bias, just the rear pushing the front on. The newer ones are rear bias 40/60. I've never come close to understeering in my quattro, my balls aren't big enough.

The XC60 T6? yeah it was only a twin super-turbo-charged four-cylinder engine producing 246 kW - slow by Audi comparisons I agree...

Yup. I have two issues that am loath to replace. The cubby hole meachinsim is broken, R10K to import from Germany and the back windscreen motor has siezed (can only get the part from Audi Dealers) Another R10k. Not going to get much more than R40k for it so fixing these two things that are minor inconveniences is just a losing proposition.

indeed, that's my point

and no matter how much of an Audi fan one might be, you can't deny physics ...
What doesn't help is that in cars like the B7 A4 the engine sat ahead of the front axles, due to the I4 layout of the 4-cylinder engines. The A4 Avant I had was extremely front-heavy as a result.

can you not source these from scrapyards, these are probably VW parts anyway? One of the reasons to buy a popular car make is there should be a decent amount of parts of in circulation, something that wont be the case for Audi in a few years it seems.
