Football Banter Thread (2nd Half)

In all honesty, I wish United gets relegated... then perhaps there will be a glimmer of hope the Glazers will sell up.

All this crap started with Ed Woodnob
They way he handled great players that play for the badge not just for the money (Ander Herrera, DDG, etc) to hand exorbitant amounts over to mercenaries like Sanchez, Sancho, Trashford, etc. While selling players like young players like McTominy, Henderson, Carreras, etc

I wish the Glazers and Ineos's empire will just collapse and go bankrupt...

You guys need to keep Bruno on the bench for a bit longer. Needs to learn some humility. He's not the new Ronaldo, even though he tries to act like it.

Alexia Putellas won her third Women’s Ballon d’Or, an incredible achievement and a huge moment for the women’s game. But before she received the award, we watched a reel of Michael Owen’s goals. They were iconic goals, and Owen is an incredible footballer, but it felt a bit random in the middle of a moment that should have been all about Alexia.

Then Owen presented the women’s award. I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve recognition for his career. I just don’t understand why they didn’t choose an iconic women’s footballer or someone who has been a real advocate for the women’s game.

Alexia deserved a build up that celebrated her journey and her achievements. The women’s Ballon d’Or deserved a presenter who could bring that history and connection to the stage. It was her moment, and it should have stayed focused on her.
