Sinotec 42" LCD TV (Auto-brightness adjustment)

I have recently bought one of these and have read on a few places (on this forum), that people have been able to switch of the auto-brightness adjustment. It has become quite an irritation, because it tends to make the screen flicker. I have however not been able to find any option to switch it...
