For those of you in JHB and Pretoria, there'll be a small partial eclipse on Friday starting at around 6:40am. http://www.planetarium.co.za/EclipsePoster2010Jan.pdf Get your welding glass ND filters ready! (Hopefully this will be a lot better than my last eclipse thread :o)

Coincidence: Solar Eclipse on 500 days to soccer world cup

While the eclipse was pretty impressive I am wonder what the relation is between the eclipse and 500 days till world cup soccer kick off. Anyone thought about this? Perhaps we will have a total solar eclipse on the day of kick off, or even Armageddon ?
