line not syncing

    ADSL not syncing after massive storm in Centurion

    Tonight's storm seems to have hit hard - my DSL was working and suddenly it just stopped syncing. There was no lightning strike at the time or anything. Anyone else have the same problem in the Centurion area?

    ADSL How it gets activated?

    Can anyone explain what happens physically when Telkom activates their ADSL service on your line. Are there manual changes at the exchange, do they flip a switch, push a button, what? I assumed its just a digital switch they have to hit. I am currently in the process of getting ADSL activated...
