Any Cost when doing a Pre Mature Upgrade ?

My brother is on a TALK 500 package with Vodacom. He wants to do an upgrade currently but would like to know if there is a fee if he does a Pre-Mature upgrade. His upgrade date is 2 August 2014. If there is a fee what is the fee? tnx
