Edit: Never mind, I'm happy that the Pompidou & Lloyd's buildings are classified as High-tech architecture, Late Modernism or Structural Expressionism and not Bauhaus or International Style.

I have personally seen steelframed rdp houses.Also was involved in the supply of some material to a project in a remote town in the WCape for steelframed rdp houses.Those are completed now and fully occupied.

The notion that "they" down want anything other than brick houses are just plain incorrect.

Your pictures are not as strongly Bauhaus (although they fit the definition) as the Pompidou Centre which illustrates the extreme. Your pictures are milder forms of the extreme.

My first example was a Le Corbusier (sp?) and the second was a Bauhaus design. I think you'll agree that they bear a striking resemblence. The second is, by definition, a bauhaus design. In other words it is the gold standard.

Thats what I've been trying to say. It may be the majority that wants brick houses, but there are plenty out there that would take anything if they were told it would be a few months, not years before view had a house. I'm sure it is some sort of deal between the government and certain construction companies to ensure there prefab houses don't "steal" their ill gotten gains.

This is what many of us are saying as well. There are far too many sticky fingers in the RDP pie.
