Hey guys

I am currently considering the following setup:

* Mweb 512mb Uncapped

I it possible to connect to the internet through 2 modems with the same username and password simultaneously?

I live in a bachelors flat and my parents in the house on the same property.

Instead of buying a network cable I asked Telkom to install a telephone line to my flat, both me and my parents have our own DSL modem.

Both modems would be running from the same telephone line.

Any help would be appreciated!

only one modem will sync, you can wireless connect the to modems and do it that way.

No. Share modems wherever you can and run Ethernet. That way you cut out the overhead of another phone line rental and much of the overhead of ADSL rental. I would be sharing a 4mbit line with 8 neighbours if I could.

like killarB said--The problem is the ADSL is fixed to a phone line number--so having 2 modems means you need 2 numbers; best, is to go with you first option: use a ethernet cable to feed from one modem to your flat 9or vice versa).

Not only is the ADSL fixed to a phone line number - if both modems tries to transmit on the same copper they're going to interfere with each other. At best only one will sinyc.
