Sorry if this has already been asked, but I just would like to know if you can use the microsoft headsets to talk to another player over system link as well as live or does it only work through live? And also, is it possible to transfer content (game demos, videos, etc) from one xbox 360 hdd to another?

what is the problem actually, new console and old hdd?
no, already had a console with its own hdd, then I bought another console with its own hdd. Now I want to somehow get the arcade games from the one console to run on the other as well without having to redownload them, though that wouldnt be much of a problem (just expensive). But can I still use the same gamertag on the second console?

yes - you can, but depending on how you use it, e.g. if you want to swap the whole time between consoles, best to get a memory card and put the profile on it, otherwise you will have to recover it every time.

Ewies spot on - if yo keep recovering the problem is that the gamerscore stays with the last profile. Rather get yourself an MU and keep your profile on it. If you get the 512Mb one you can keep a fe of the arcade games on it.
As for the games, I use Cybersmart nightrider for that sort of thing - 5x cap between 1 and 7am which is enough time to grab about 700Mb worth.

Oh and if you buy XBLA games they will only work offline on the console on which they were bought.

yes...what doobiwan said...the xbl games/themes basically everything you downloaded will only be available online.

You can migrate the licences from console to console but it is still aplicable to 1 console only.

Best option is to delete and redownload everything. if u downloaded the video codec pack u will notice that divx and xvids will only play online due to the drm system that locks it to ur console, the best solution would be to delete it, create a seperate gamertag, redownload it with that tag then u will be able to watch divx and xvids offline again on ur original gamertag
Thanks for all the info everyone! If I may ask one more question though, I know you can play original xbox games on the 360 but does that go for the system link as well? eg. if the original game had system link support for the first xbox will that also work with the 360 or can you only play in a "compatibility" mode on one console only? (yeah I know I sound real stupid right now)
All originals that are 360 compatible works on live if the game supports it, so system link is also supposed to work. The 360 emulates almost all the features of the xbox 1 so system link games shouldnt have a prolem running
