So we had one of our servers die on us Sat morning, as AH had no one to attend to the issue we were granted DC access to have our own techs investigate, turn out it was a hardware failure. I informed them of the failing RAM late Sat.

RAM was replaced 8:30 this morning, +1 to the team at AH. We have had similar issues with other hosts where we have waited days for a repair.

Turn-around time for hardware at the host I'm with is around 1 hour. Anything above that you start getting money back. So... meh

Yeah I know, but for the price the client is paying we can't really complain

Actually, I hate when people have that mentality.

"oh well, it's so cheap we can't really complain hey"

Why settle for mediocre/non-existing service (not saying that of Afrihost, just in general) just because it's cheap?

"This Steer Burger literally tastes like ****, oh well, it was cheap so I better not complain"

does
not
compute

If the client is an NGO you cant really expect much hey? Why pay for a service you cant afford and don't need..... because its better? More like wasting money.

if your all about having the best, good for you. Sometimes there are scenarios where the best isn't an option an compromises need to be made.

Anyway, the thread was to thank AH for offering good service at a low price and working with us.
