I'm so Goth, my wrists slit themselves
Depends on how long a battery life you want, the 10" tab has the longest uptime. The gigabyte device doesnt come with an os, so there is windows to buy if you like being legal :P or linux it up

Well I am checking out DX as well seems there is much better deals on there, I think the android lappy is out...looks meh really I like the gigabyte lappy a fair bit.

Trying to find an older galaxy tab on ebay was about $150 odd I think still shopping around for the best device, I might consider going slightly larger 13inch is still manageable. I wouldn't mind linux but do have a sealed copy of windows 7 here so could to go if I take that route.

My issue is now I found DX they have some seriously awesome stuff, found a 3tb HDD for $90 odd with expedited shipping I have about $500 dollars in total to spend.Def want the 3tb hdd as well actually planing on getting 2 :p so it cuts a bit into my budget as well as getting another 8 cell battery for my HP lappy. It's a bit bulky which is why I am looking for a smaller device...

Meh decided on getting the Lenovo A1000 7" 16gb battery life seems respectable for a brand name budget tablet, 5.5 hours video and 9 hours wifi, 2 weeks standby, the dolby digital front facing speakers is what really made me get it in the end, previous tablet had the back facing speaker which made it pretty useless otherwise.

Honestly I looked past the delayed gsensor rotation and the lower res screen, apparently the viewing angles is a bit iffy. But meh I don't really need super duper screen res, and I can live with slower screen rotations but if it really annoys me I would probably just get the Lenovo S6000 10.1.

I hate tablet hunting :(

Lenovo A1000 arrived a while back I am very, very impressed bar the lack of 3G it was a great buy. Don't know why reviewers kept on hammering it for this and that, the screen is crystal clear, sound is great, perhaps on the heavy side, it's sturdy.I def recommend this for a 7" budget tabby, on the plus side the fixed the storage issue, it comes now default with 3.0gig space on the 16gb version.I fail to see the apparent delayed screen rotation delay, it's faster than the S3. S3 however wins for me on copying speed, the back camera and of course the 3G option.

The irony of it all, was in JHB the weekend and every few years I get my brothers hand me down hardware, and got his old Galaxy S3 so will be able to sort out the wifi internet sharing via the phone, this works out perfectly.

However I still have my sights set on getting the 10" S6000 next month or so.

Levono has zero bloatware, the S3 is loaded with useless crap...

Best 10" device is in your pants boet. Use it wisely.
