Hi all,

A mate of mine in the uk told me that he will be getting upgraded from 2 megs cable to 10 megs for free (well, not free but he won't have to pay any more that his current monthly rate £35/month). This service is from www.blueyonder.co.uk -

Not bad at all for £35?

so how long before S.A sees a 10 meg line and then there is the question of how much will we it cost

They probably release it in a month or 2 ... with your 3GB HARD CAP firmly in place of course ... Think how muh telkom will be able to make on that baby ... 3GB gone in the time it takesyou to make your first cup of coffee.

In Reply to Cybersaint. Its take 2 and a half years for telkom to upgrade its service by 512 bps. At this rate, we will get a 10mbit connection in 45 years. By then it will probably cost well over a R1 million! Lol....

I love this little piece of information which shows that companies listen to consumers.

*Research conducted by GFK NOP on behalf of Telewest Broadband in July 2005. Forty-eight per cent of dial-up respondents stated they had not noted usage restrictions when making a broadband selection. When made aware of restrictions, and given the choice between capped and non-capped products, 65% of those respondents said they would only pursue their original selection with further investigation and 35%.expressed an instant preference for uncapped products.

hm, I dare to disagree:
10mbit Home - R1 million
10mbit Business - R6.5 million
