10'' or Bigger Tablet

I'm looking to buy a Tablet 10'' or bigger. Budget is between R2000-R2500. Will be used by my daughter for school, going to grade 5. Any suggestions please.

What OS does it need to run? Any 3G needed or would just wifi be fine? How much RAM needed? Any other specs needed by the school?

Most if not all 10" Android tablets in that price range is limited to Android 4.4 or Android 5 and cannot be upgraded any further. This limits you to the software that can be downloaded from the app store, especially the units running Android 4.4. The only 10" tablet I found for R2599 (on special from Takealot) was the Huawei Mediapad T3 10. This tablet runs Android 7 so should future-proof for a few years still. I see they now have one for R3299 also on special.
