So my landlord mentioned that the line was running a bit slow, and wondered if it would be worth upgrading. I kindly advised we should upgrade to 4MEG and I would foot half the extra money.
So at 9am today I called Telkom expecting the worst. After navigating the first set of questions, the call was answered right away. I didn't even get to listen to the on hold tune! (Slightly disappointing

The gentleman who answered my call sounded well educated and answered my questions and asked me for relevant information. He advised it would take up to 72 hours for the upgrade to complete. Total time on phone aprox 6min
I walked into my room, and notice my computer was offline! I started cursing Telkom thinking they somehow got it all mixed up and disconnected my ADSL service.
A few seconds later, my Skype came up and logging into the Router, "Downstream 4096"!!!
That was the quickest 72 hours of my life. Congrats Telkom.
Now to figure out how I'm going to con the Mrs. into giving me 899 for uncapped.....:erm:
