All hail the greatest batsman of our time ... Sachin Tendulkar!!! :)

Shakib Al Hasan to Tendulkar, 1 run, 84.2 kph, and he's finally done it! Clips it down to square leg and jogs the single, very subdued celebration, he must be mightily relieved but he's not showing it, removes his helmet, the Bangladesh fielder congratulate him, 100 international centuries - we may never see it emulated, well done Sachin! Take a bow

Tests: 51 centuries | highest score 248*
ODI's: 49 centuries | highest score 200*

Mashrafe Mortaza to Tendulkar, OUT, 115.1 kph, Standing ovation for Sachin! Slower ball, he makes room to drive but gets the thickest of edges to the keeper, he walks back slowly, tired but probably more so relieved, the crowd's on their feet

The greatest ever! I'm just glad that it happened, so people won't hold not getting it against him once he retires.

What strike me the most about him is that he is humble and down to earth. What a legend. Glad he played during my lifetime!

Nice record, pity it had to happen against the bangles. I'm sure he would have preferred to get it against Oz or SL.

Apparently it was his first 100 against Bangladesh in ODI's. So, I guess its another milestone for him.

Too bad it came against Bangladesh, who his team ended up losing to :D

I stopped following the game when India got to 289. I did not given Bangladesh a chance of chasing it down. Proved me horribly wrong. :o

Sachin's quest for his 100th ton possibly denied India a win.

His strike rate wasn't up to scratch and India should have scored 300 +.

That said their bowling was very poor...

No BMT shown bowling at the death !!!

He had a strike rate of 77.55 and India hit 289. Let's be honest any half decent team should defend 289 against Bangladesh.

I'm sure he'll be concentrating on retirement. How he plans to pull it off is anyones guess.

100% agreed. Indian bowlers should have restricted them. Instead they gave the batsmen a chance and they took it. Kudos to the Bangladeshis ;)
