Hey guys so I recently had a 100 MB fibre installation by Herotel, the speed tests show 5 ms ping and download and upload of 94 mb

So that is fine, but when I try for instance watch Twitch live on HD it buffers like crazy, and watch trailer videos on metacritic also buffering, gamewallpapers.com same story those UHD wallpapers load like I am on dialup

Which is strange because my downloads and ping seem fine, I asked this in another thread, but didn't get much clarity

Does anybody know what may be causing this?

Run a cable to the router (eliminate wifi) and see if it does the same?

Plug the cable directly into the ONT and configure a PPPOE connection on the PC, take screenshots and video, log a call with your ISP and attach them.

I can barely get a hold of these guys on email, no idea how i will log a call with them

Speedtests are often prioritised to give good impressions. Try different speedtest providers, eg MyBB, the one built into chrome, speedtest.net etc. See if they all give the same results.

You could also have an MTU issue, lowering it could help if only some services are giving you problems.

the speedtest with 5ms, is locally, if watching twitch, become international traffic, then i think your ISP backbone to London is in congestion.

Not necessarily, could be packet loss on the fibre line, locally the distance is short enough to not see a huge difference but internationally you will see it, its very common to see this issue on the likes of Frogfoot and Octotel.

Twitch quite often from my testing and experience pulls from either Brazil/ West side of America or Honk Kong so those distances are massive so any form of packet loss will cause a major drop in speed.

Do speedtest to regions like North America/London and Asia.

See what your speeds are like to those regions.

Also perform trace routes using the likes of Pingplotter (free app download) to IP's in the UK and US to see if there is packet loss.

Download WinMTR and run tests to those URL's you mentioned. Check for packet loss along the way.

btw. is that a fibre to your house install or their "air-fibre" installs
