Hi, anyone else having trouble connecting to 10219 option 3 (the one for telephone lines)? It just keeps cutting me off in the middle of their propaganda (which I really love listening to ... :rolleyes: ... actually I'd rather just listen to a ringing tone).

How on Earth do you cancel your telephone line? :confused: :mad: :confused:

Assuming it's Telkom, you can fax a cancellation form to them, do it every day :D

Or go to a telkom sweatshop and cancel it there - best option to take.

If you don't cancel it, they will keep on billing you.
 
i struggled for what seemed to be hours yesterday trying to get some kind of service out of telkom. nothing worked on the menu!

that call back feature? "enter 10 digit phone number so we can call you back"
i enter my telkom home line number only to be told it is not a valid number

go screw yourself telkom. your "telecommunications" suck! but we have been screaming this for half a decade now.

if you want to completely ruin your day, phone telkom. on hold, tomorrow, forever.

I know, this is what's making me sooooo mad!

I just got through, and found out that my ADSL order is still open, and I can't cancel my telephone line until I've canceled the ADSL order, which they said they canceled yesterday. This is driving me insane!

After we won the world cup, I forgot that this is still the 3rd world.
 
I think someone from Telkom is reading this forum, because I finally managed to cancel my line! Got a ref. no and everything!!!

I'm free! I have no broadband, not even dial-up, but I'm free!
