Honestly I have no idea, but it can't hurt to make enquiries. Last time I checked solar a system that is capable of going of grid costs over R250K.

I have always had beter deals from originators, than from approaching the banks directly.

I've had bad results from bond originators. OOB sucked, and SA Home Loan reneged on their initial proposal, leaving me to scramble to get more cash at the last minute.

Advice ... your primary bank. If you apply direct, they usually give discount (50% off on bond registration costs).

I know its via FNB like that.
