Hi guys

I know there is probably alot of info covered on this already but I am getingt too many conflicting stories.

My TV is a 55 inch NU7100 Samsung Series 7 4k tv. Just got it.

My question is do I set my DSTV explora one to 1080i or 720p? Which is the best option to go with. I notice some motion artifacts on 1080i on SS3 HD and not so much on 720p. On Mnet movies I can't tell a difference. Any feedback or assistance will be appreciated.

This has been covered over and over.

DSTV broadcast both in 1080i and 720p, but 1080i offers higher vertical resolution, and can easily display a 720p image by field doubling.

Thanks for the info guys. Was concerned about the sports. Was not looking to good when the ball is passed around. Must it be on /50 or /60 frames

DSTV broadcasts 1080i at 50hz. Though I think sport should be better set at 720p as the progressive scan would handle motion better.

Definitely 50Hz or frames.

Also make sure truemotion or smooth motion or whatever manufacturers call it, is turned off in your TV settings.
