lol, i also almost went to the operating table. It is just unbearable sitting there with a compo that cant start because of a too short fuqing cable! it drove me insane!

I just went DIY on this crap, found a older PSU and extended my cable via soldering and some heat tape. Now to test it... *sweating*

That's what I would have done, would have use some heat shrink though to make it tidy (unless heat tape = heat shrink).

Will work fine as long as you connected it all up correctly.
