13' business laptop

Hi there

Looking to replace my current laptop with a 13' (ish) size laptop. Important is rugged build, battery life. Touch screen not required and I may not consider Mac.

Not exactly a "rugged" spec but the Dell E7390 has a magnesium alloy shell which is quite solid. The cheaper E5xxx models have the normal plastic shell. There's also the XPS 13 but that's not rugged at all.
There's also the Lenovo X1 Carbon which is also not "rugged" but well built.

The properly rugged laptops usually have really bad specs or are horrendously expensive, or both. I'm assuming you just mean "on the road a bit and might get dropped occasionally" type of rugged and not the "will be on building sites all day and might get dropped in water occasionally" type of rugged.
