Its that time of the year again, and i am in a bit of a pickle.

I cannot decide which option is better.

Option A) Deposit the 13th cheque straight into a savings account and leave it there.

Option B) Use it all to pay off a big chunk of my car.

Option C) But a new gaming laptop.

I would rather do option C out of all of those but its not the most responsible choice :D.

Um, paying off your car is a no-brainer from a financial point of view...

Pay off Car!!!!

Unless you meet your payments easily and live a fairly comfortable life-

Although why people buy laptops for anything beyond business........

That's the thing, i am not struggling money wise. Last year i put it in savings which helped pay for my phone and will be going towards my TV.
But this year i am trying to use my head a bit more.

C). Something nice for yourself, being a slave to the man can go to hell.

The solution there is not to willingly take on debt. Not to pay the bare minimum - "the man" earns more in those scenarios...

Register on http://www.etfsa.co.za and buy yourself two ETF portfolios with 66% of the money (33% each) and spend the other 33% on something you like.

Or...

Put 33% in an ETF.
Put 33% in your car (depending on your loan agreement it might make no sense to pay it off faster)
Put 33% into something you really want.
