Then you're looking at 22" LCDs and up (putting you in LCD TV territory), like this 23" Viewsonic, with 19,5" horizontal

Aren't you going to sit with a non-standard native resolution (i.e. 1440x900) as opposed to the standard one of 1280x1024 ? Depends on what the intended usage is I suppose. Gaming could be an issue.

Maybe most cost effective: Buy a projector and paint a wall white... obviously depends on what your required resolution is!

Surely a CRT is sufficient for drawings? Is the LCD really necessary?

its good for ur eyes .... I got one purely for that reason .... playing lots of games / coding for long hours .... on crt ur eyes get red and start burn ....
