They do it to get their own rating up... in order to get government tenders and such. This kind of trade limitation is very destructive and our government including we the people seem to be too stupid to see it.

It will take time to get spotted and be phased out. We have to endure the stupidity or move on to other countries... Luckily there are choices...

If there is somebody who can help him out though, give them a break, they are just trying to make their business grow....
 
BBBEE is very different from BEE.
I would support BBBEE any day.
 
But chances are, they will be taking business away from some person who has worked long hours, by their own sweat and tears, taken all the risks, because they refuse to give a portion of their hard work to a bookmark!

BBBEE is by nature corrupt. unqualified people are given bookmark positions to fulfil a quota without actually achieving anything. Its just a slower version of what Mugabe did.
Take from the NON PDI's and give to the JULIAS MALEMA's. Instead of farms its sales and turnover.
 
it would seem that not many people are informed about what BBBEE is all about - ownership is only 1 aspect. I work with companies on BBBEE on a daily basis and if implemented correctly, it has the potential to make a massive impact on the lives of all citizens in this country. I own a consulting company and focus on issues like this - we are
also in the process of establishing a "buying" house to assist companies with similar issues.

I would also suggest that you look at a site called www.beepartners.com - you could also advertise your requirements there.

I work for a SME, we’re trying to place all our hardware and software purchases with BBBEE compliant suppliers.

They must be VAT registered, have decent pricing and BBBEE rating certificates. Ideally we would like to be able to claim 100%+ on any purchases.

Please advise if you know of / represent such a company.
