1996 Jetta Grille

Will a 1996 Jetta Grille work on a 1995 jetta? Also which model Grilles work for 1995? Is it 1994 to 1999 etc?

Well they should be the same... I sold my old Jetta a year ago, but as far as I know all the Jetta III's were the same i.e no face lifted grilles from 1993 to 2000 or whenever the Jetta IV came out. The only ones that might be different are the VR6 ones. Maybe try asking someone at a dealership or Goldwagen etc..
 
A 96 will work on a 95, the grilles are interchangeable, despite the 96 being colour coded etc.

There is also a FUGLY after-market one that can be left black or sprayed the colour of the car.
 
I got a grille today, seems it doesn't have the slots at the top of the grille. All the clips at the bottom are right, but not at the top; there just aren't any. It's an aftermarket grille though, so maybe it's not supposed to have the slots at the top (slots being the protruding clips that socket into the front of the car). It's a bit difficult to explain.

Is that so? I wasn't aware of that as well. Have you been able to use it properly? I mean does it fit?
