Any one get this sms from Telkom? I am starting to like these summer deals.

Sorry I do not know how to resize the image.
 
There is nothing on their website. There is nothing in their T&Cs. I will treat this as a consumer scam where 8TA will dupe a couple of tens of thousands of people into a ****ty deal for now.

I will wait and see what others say before I jump in.

Better call the police. Contact the hawks. File a CPA complaint. Sue for damages. Post on hellopeter. Write a letter for the local newspaper!

Or you could entertain the idea that the offer was meant for a select few or something?

Edit: Confirmed. The deal is different for everyone.

Nope, I got the SMS as well.

As soon as I go to the USSD menu I get 100MB @R4 for 1 day.

Have you heard of Bait & Switch?

It is a scam, but cannot be prosecuted in courts.

Still stays a consumer scam in my books.
 
I was offered 500mb for R10 but when I checked it wasn't one of the offers - guess I'll have to check back again later.

Bought some data this way the other day so I'm still good for now.

Strange... seems they offer different deals to different users. However, all their deals seems to be valid for 1-2 days only.

Just went in and purchased 1TB @R15 for 30 days!

Wow!! Let the downloads start :D

Was 100MB @ R4 for 2 days. They made it 1 day shorter now as well.
