I finally took the plunge.
Getting her on Tuesday (I hope - Stupid NCA)

She is: 09 model, 700kms (demo), semi-auto, space grey ( www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222735 - pics of colour )

What do you guys think of 135s?
Some say they're ugly as hell, others love them.
Any experience you guys care to add?

I don't think they are as sexy as they should be. It's a very powerful car and i don't feel the looks are as aggressive as i would have liked to have seen. With that said though, you cannot take away from the fact that this car is phenomenal. The performance leaves you gasping for air and i would buy one in a heartbeat.

Thats a very nice ride you got yourself.
Wouldnt mind throwing one of those around :D

How much did you pay for it ? If you don't mind me asking. It was over 400k last time i checked.

they retail at 468 i think, i'm getting mine for 410.. also trading my old car in which helps..

when i first told people i was getting one, people said it looks like a corolla.. i think it's beautiful!

thanks for all the congrats :)

haha, i hope not..
i test drove it the other day, floored all the way through to 3rd..
only when i came home did i read online that you're not supposed to take it past 5000rpm for the first say 3000km :(

i wonder if i've already broken my car?

I doubt it - BMW engines are virtually bulletproof, especially the straight 6. Next time, RTM!

Beautiful car, by the way. Looks better than the new 3 in my opinion.

The normal 1 series is a bit of an ugly duckling, but the coupe definitely has all the right looks. Paired with that acclaimed bi-turbo the 135i seems very lucrative for a car enthusiast.

In terms of practicality and the price you pay at the pump with so much power means this car is an totally insensible - that why I think it;s an excellent choice :)

The 1 series coupe is a very good looking car, as opposed to the normal 1 series.

And the power and torque from that engine is amazing.

Expect lots of traffic light challenges.
Expect lots of wins too. :D

congrats on the car man ... its a lil pocket rocket!!! :D ... you got it at a good price :) ... semi auto???? it thought it was auto and then manual ... do they come in DCT now?

semi auto, meaning it has paddle and full auto mode..
full auto = click to the left (sport mode), but it pulls off in 2nd for some reason, no gear change necessary.. have to click it down to start off in 1st in sport mode (weird huh?)

Actually, it's not so weird if the car's capable of wheel-spinning from standstill while in second gear. When breaking traction, you want the wheels to spin as quickly as possible in order to generate as much friction as possible, in order to accelerate faster. If the car is so powerful that it'll spin all the way through first, which of course it can, but then also spin all the way through second after changing from first, it makes sense to just make the acceleration process a bit smoother by just skipping first, straight to second, with the added benefit of extra acceleration.

Not so weird. My E90 330d does the same thing. :D
