Hi there

I am interested in getting a Robovac for use in the apartment.

Currently the leading candidate seems to be the Xiaomi E10 @ around R3000 as it vacuums and mops.
Is Xiaomi still a good option these days?

So looking for something that vacuums and mops, that has spares and customer support.
After sales support also needed.
Being able to replace battery later on would be good too.

There seems to be alot more available these days than a few years ago.

Thanks

We own one similar to this, though from Proscenic..

I would very highly recommend that you increase your budget and look for one that allows you to customise the mapping of your home.. it's the biggest draw back of the cheaper robot vacs and the biggest pain point we have with ours right now..

We are looking to upgrade and seems that you need to be spending from about 6k upwards to get something worthwhile..

My parents got a Deame (L10s I think). Its pretty cool and was easy to setup. It works great for them. I want one but realized that it will just not work with our 3 year old little hurricane and two staffys in the house.

Not really an issue.. my dog is not fearful, but gets out the way and our two little ones leave it alone as well..

I got the Xiaomi Mop 2 lite

It works ok, but it doesn't have the mapping feature.
So it starts on a blank slate every time.

Unfortunately it occasionaly gets lost, and skips some areas.

So if I were to get one today, I'd pay extra to get the maps.

@WAslayer you have the same issues as @Pegging ?

Which models would you actually recommend then?

Had many years of service out of my Xiaomi 1C which seems to be pretty much the same as this one just older.

The only reason it failed is because at some point I reset the maps and it kept getting stuck under my one couch that had sagged over time and therefore damaged the left wheel.

It's for this reason I would highly recommend spending a bit more and getting one that at least has Lidar and therefore doesn't only operate by "bump dynamics" and can actually "see" your couched and things and therefore actively avoid them.

I bought might without Lidar specifically because it's lower thinking that's good it will go under stuff that the taller ones can't but this was a mistake on my part.

You don't want to be spending another R3000 in a few years because the thing is too dumb to figure stuff out for itself.

Sorry I edited with a link to the one I would aim for.

Their price isn't the best on there but you can likely find a good deal this week.

Here you go, best price I could fine quickly and not much more than you wanted to pay.

thank you good sir
