1U Patch Panels smaller than 19"

Hi friends,

Do any of you know if there are patch panels available in sizes smaller than the standard 19" ?

We need to fit these into custom designed panels and the width is proving to be an issue. Unfortunately, incorporating a 19" cabinet alongside it is not viable. So far all the normal retailers only stock the standard 1U x 19" patch panels.

Any help would be appreciated.

The front and rear side rails are usually just an extruded section cut to the required length, so it is relatively simple to cut them down as required.

What about using keystone jacks like the ones at this site, http://www.componentsources.co.za/networking.html, and getting the mounting holes cut directly into your custom panel instead of mounting a patch panel.
