Yes you can get it on an existing 8ta prepaid sim. You just need to call them to change you over to it so you can buy that bundle.
I think you can also do it under on of the options in *180#, but cant remember what its called and dont have my sim with me now to check.

Just remember that if you convert to one of the two promotional prepaid data bundles (2GB + 1GB or 60GB + 60GB) your SIMcard has to be switched to Promotional Data Only. That means you can no longer use that SIMcard for any service not coming directly from an 8ta tower -- i.e. it disables roaming on MTN towers.
If you want to keep your existing prepaid 8ta SIM with roaming ability, it's better to buy another 8ta SIM (49 cents!), RICA it, convert it to promotional data and use it exclusively for that. You can even transfer airtime from your existing SIM.
I'm describing this because it's the route I have now had to go in my own situation.
