2.3 Patch

Hey guys.

Just noticed that the files for patch 2.3 are available to download. Seems they will be patching soon.

Time to plan my lvl'ing strategy.

They are allowing us to download the first 222mb so long.. i doubt the full patch being out before December as there is still tons of game breaking bugs.

Anybody find that d/l from blizzards down loader is extremely slow? Anybody know a good http site for direct download?

i had no issue with the download. i just let it download and it goes. always starts slow and then picks up.

lol, this patch you guys are downloading is for the ptr, i dont think it will be compatible with the normal servers?

If the download is via the Blizzard patch downloader then it is not for the PTR servers (the PTR servers have a different client version) So all should be o.k. I noticed mine started yesterday (slow as usual) and is a +-222mb download.

mine hasnt started yet , how do i get the downloader? mine normally updates when I try logon on tuesdays? hmm sad day

In your wow directory there should b a file "BackgroundDownloader.exe" double click that and it will search for any available patches rdy for download

Lists a number of direct download sites.

Rather go direct download if the patch is bigger than 10megs. The background downloader is piss slow.

The above site also provides the tracker link if you wish to dl the patch with your regular torrent prog.

i recon should be out in about 2 weeks time.. closer to the end of the month.
usually comes out 1 - 2 weeks after the PTR closes down if i remember correctly.

But i coudl be wrong... old age and all that...

can't wait for this patch... apparently they're making it easier/faster to lvl from 20-60.

Now i can get my tank alt ready for BC nice and fast .

Is it just my realm (Ahn Qiraj) or is there a serious shortage of tanks out there?
