2 dial ups to different ISPs over one router

good evening!

I have 2 different isps and 2 computers with XP pro.
i have Aztech ADSL2+ ETHERNET BRIDGE ROUTER DSL-600E and a switch.

i would like to connect a different dial up on each computer but it doesnt let me. error 633 (the modem is already in use)

what can i do to make it work?

you need to read the thread on route sentry and this explains how to get you router into bridge mode, and set it up so that you can dial multiple pppoe connections
 
Is route sentry the only program that can bridge connections???

Is there any other program that we can use and also is simple to use
 
Sorry to jack teh thread, but, Does anyone know if there is a version of route sentry that works in Vista?
 
tried that and the routesentry log wrote:

04/12/2008 10:51:13 error: Connection through Broadcom 440x 10_100 Integrated Controller -> 678 The remote computer did not respond. For further assistance, click More Info or search Help and Support Center for this error number.

any suggestion?

route sentry doesn't bridge connections, it simply allows you to create 2 PPPOE connections from windows and route the traffic through either of the connections(depending on whether it is local traffic or international traffic)

have you installed RASSOPPOE protocall?
do you have 2 seperate accounts to use on route sentry?
have you followed the instructions to the letter?

im no techie here but you guys need to explain what you are trying to acheive???

To set router in bridge mode:
Go to start and click run, type in http://10.0.0.2

A box will come up asking for username and password, both should be admin admin.

Click quick start, under connections there will be a box called encapsulation... there you can change it to pure bridge LLC.

Save config.
 
i installed protocol on both computers
i followed the instructions.

i have an isp at home- 750 kbit and my university is also an isp of 5 mbit.
i want one computer to connect to the home isp and the other will be connected to the university connection. the university doesnt allow using a router and i try to connect through vpn but the downspeed is limited to 750 kbit.

do you have other solution to overcome the limit of the isp tunnel?
 
See if the router manual says anything about PPPoE passthrough, this is what you are trying to achieve.

The Mega100, Mega105 and DLink routers have this enabled by default.

When you use PPPoE sessions that are established from the workstations, then you might want to clear the PPPoE login on the router.
 
Waitaminute, are you trying to create a VPN between two computers here?

As in one computer is at the university, the other at home, and you're trying to connect the two?

In that case, the home machine should be set up as a VPN server, and you should forward port 1723 on the router to the PC. Sign up for Dynamic DNS, and get your home DSL IP address registered.

Then on the Uni PC, create a VPN dialup to your home machine's DynDNS name, and you should be off to the races.

However, setting up a VPN server probably needs Server 2000/2003/2008, I don't think you'll manage with XP.

no. the two comp. are at my home- one is pc the other is a laptop.

i have an option of connecting the university trough vpn connection, after i am connected to the other isp. its too slow- its limit by the isp (750 kbit)

however, i can use it as a regular isp.

i want my pc to stay connected to the home's isp- always. and when i get home i want to connect with my laptop to the university isp using the already connected modem DSL600E. (without disconnecting the pc)
