Not 2 girls 1 cup situation but similar,

So in recent events, I see my current ISP doesn't have a news server. So I was thinking of the following...

Getting a capped Afrihost account (because I can afford that), then use that connection dedicated to the HTPC that I will setup with sickbeard etc. I want to somehow dedicate this pc to be he only one using the afrihost connection, then the rest of the devices on the mweb account.

I do have an extra router, and another place for a phoneline if that helps. My initial thought was to plug that extra router into the other phoneline then use the afrihost account on that router.

Please someone tell me if this is possible and what the correct steps would be in setting this up.

As far as i know, the Internet connection that has the News Server is the 1 that will need to be downloading, so (if by any chance at all you get this to work - which i doubt) if you plan on having the Afrihost News Server, the afrihost internet connection has to be the actual connection that will be downloading the News Article, the MWEB account will not be able to connect to the Afrihost's news server.

Same principal if you intend on using the MWEB News server with the afrihost account (Not sure which ISP you referring to that has the free news server)

Why not just get a cheap News server from like Nextgennews or Usenetbucket or something?

Managed to use interface grouping and another SSID and got it to work.

Another phone line/number ?

Then you will need to install and pay for another ADSL line on that other number

The same phone line/number ?

You can make multiple PPOE connections from the same router IF it supports that but not sure if you can do it from another router on the same line.

You can't run two modems on the same phone line.

However you could have a second Router running it's own PPPoE account through the modem inside the first router if the Router allowed for Bridged + Routed mode.

As in it runs it's own PPPoE account but allowed more PPPoE connections through it in Bridged mode.

Yeah, seems to be working
