2 Modems

Can I split my phone line and have two ADSL modems with each logged onto a different ISP ?
Each modem will serve it's own PC also.

You set the modem to bridge mode and then dial a connection from the actual PC you want to connect from.

ADSL modems use a fixed frequency band to transfer their data, so the modems will simply interfere with each other when you have 2 connected to the same line - meaning that none of them will work well.

Bridging your modem is the way to go, unless you want to also give like phones Internet access by default, in which case you need to set it up in half-bridge mode. This simply implies that the modem still dials your default Internet (PPPoE) connection, as well as allowing PC's/devices on its LAN to establish their own Internet (PPPoE) connections.

What modem do you have? You usually need to enable half-bridge mode, because its typically disabled.

Nope. The connections will just share the bandwidth.

I have a Netgear DGN2200v3 and it gives the option of Modem+Router or just Modem and I assume that is the Bridge mode.
However I see on the link DrJohnZoidberg gave you can only do this with Win7 which I do have but the other 2 PC's on the network use XP which means they loose out ?
Currently I'm just changing the logon info in the modem and rebooting it, but its a bit of a painful exercise each time

That is just an example. You can do the same with XP. Google "Dial PPPoE connection Windows XP".

Be sure to also have a decent software firewall active after bridging your modem.
