This is probably my stupid question of the day.....

I have a built-in graphics card on the motherboard, and another one on my agp slot.

At the moment I have my monitor plugged into the gfx card on the agp slot.

Is it possible to have both monitors working, each off a different card connected to 1 pc?

Thanks

Depends on the motherboard chipset. All non Intel chipsets automatically disable the onboard GFX once it detects one in the AGP slot. In that case you need to use an additional PCI card or get an AGP dual-header card (easiest option).
On most Intel chipsets your setup is possible though...

I have a gigabyte chipset

Can I run 2 monitors if I have 2 graphics cards in SLI?

Mobo is an Asus P5N-32 SLI Delux, cards are 2 x 6600GT.

Thanks :)

I don't think so, you have to disable the intergrated graphics through the bios to let the AGP card work and visa-versa.

depending on the cards you have in sli you should be able to hook up 4 monitors and still have 3 TV outs available (if i go with what i can hook up to mine)

No, you cannot run the onboard vga together with the AGP port, both of these use the AGP port's bus, so only one of them can run at a time. The only way to get two monitors working would be to install a AGP card with two outputs, or add a PCI card, which could run with either onboard or AGP.
