I am trying to get both monitors working on vista 64 bit

Not sure exactly how to do this, i have a 9800gx2.

I have taken it out multi gpu and put it on multi-display mode.

Now vista is running like rubbish and the other monitor has no signal.

Help :)

Go to your nvidia settings in control panel and set it there to dual screen or whatever (there are two places to set it: at control panel and at display properties at rightclick->properties).
That's what I had to do.

I hate trying to get two monitors working on Nvidia cards.

ATI FTW!!!

Froot you legend got it working, now how do i for instance work in corel draw but want to see the picture im working on my second monitor.

Does it matter that one monitor is 22" and the other 15".

Back in the day I had Vista, a laptop and needed to do a presentation on a projector.... someone helped me out :D

If you selected dual view (One long ass horizontal screen with menu bar on one screen), you can drag the window with your image to the other screen. Does not matter what size your screen, as long as the resolution fits.

hmm the 15" monitor is showing about 1/5 of my 22" screen.

I'm thinking the 15" is to small.

Ahhhhhhhhh i just dragged it over hahah nice froot very helpful thanx :)

1024 x something and 1680 x 1050 but its fine froot, my whole objective with this project is having one monitor showing the jpeg's i worked off, its a waste to keep printing out paper and takes time to keep checking the pic out when im trying to get it spot on :)

Now i can just look left and see it :), very cool stuff. Now i need to tell my boss i need a new 22" monitor :p

damn i read on google its impossible to do with a gx2, glad i did not listen to google.

1024x768. then it should be fine. I use 1680x1050 with my laptop's 1280x800 and it works fine for me.
2x 22" FTW!!!!

Yea but is the lower resolution the main display or not?

Also can you see the entire screen on both monitors?

I used the laptop as 2ndary screen and 22" as primary. It works fine, although the 15" as main would work better.

Like if i drag corel over then half of it is missing, is that right? do i need to do some scaling?

Yes. Does Corel run under one window, or multiple smaller windows?

Corel runs under my 22" inch then when i drag it across it does not adjust the size, so its like half of corel on each side is gone :). Not serious just wondering if that sounds right.

Correct. Windows won't resize automatically when dragged to the smaller screen. I run a 22" with a secondary 19" , which isn't too bad.

@gary way ^^^^^ there : Don't understand what's so difficult about 2 monitors on nVidia
