Hi guys,

I want to get two phones on my upgrade, for myself and for my wife - but the 2 for 1 specials at Vodashop don't have anything that interests me, so I asked if I couldn't take the Viewty (as an example) on the weekend package at R135/m and then add another Viewty and have it financed by vodacom so I can pay it off for the 24months - it really sounds logical right? I just want two phones of my choice on one contract - and I'm willing to go up to R400/m to make it happen! - I mean, thats more than two separate weekend packages...

So the guy at my local vodashop said yeah, other ppl have asked the same thing and Vodacom are coming out with some 'DealMaker' function where you can do just that. But now the guy says he doesnt know when this is going to happen...... :(

Could someone please let me know if they've heard of this before, or infact have any real information about it - I've postponed my upgrade for 6 months, partly waiting for this damn option to arrive...

Any info would be great.
thanks.

My view is that Vodacom will need to do something soon in response the MTNs new Anytime packages. I asked the Vodacom representative on here, V3G, and am yet to get a response though.

Not sure why you would not just take two contracts though if you are going to pay R400 and be paying it off over 24 months anyway. At least with a second contract you get more free minutes etc.

Look into the new MTN Anytime200 packages. R200 per month, some great phones and it gives you R200 value every month for whatever you want to use it on at any time (Funny that given the name :))

Thanks for the info LancelotSA, That sounds good, though I'm with Vodacom and can't open any new accounts - being over-indebted at the moment, I know I won't qualify for another contract - even though I actually can afford it....

So yeah, just want to know how to make the most of my current contract to get two decent phones and not have to pick from the low end stuff they usually throw in the bargain bin '2 for 1' specials...

Thanks again for input though.

You can just apply for another Vodacom contract. Trust me, they don't even do a credit check or anything if you have another contract. My cousin has three contracts with Vodacom and she applied for the second and third while being blacklisted! Besides, like LancelotSA says, you'll pay less (R135x2) and you'll get two sets of free minutes. Once you have a Vodacom contract, it's quite easy to get another one.

Try Metro at Vodaworld they doing these "finance" schemes.
Also the 082 1959 can help.

Thanks so much guys, been a real help - I was wondering if its easy to get a second contract, seems logical that they'd just add a second one, but I've just been worried about not being accepted - so gonna try that and see how it goes.

Thanks again guys.
