Pretoria - Two 17-year-old pupils were stabbed at Akasia High School in Pretoria on Friday, paramedics said.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman said paramedics attended to the pair in what appeared to be the sick room in the school's administration offices.

"The one pupil was stabbed in the right shoulder, back and left leg," Dollman said.

"The other victim was stabbed in the right hip and right arm and sustained a laceration to his head."

Dollman said the pupils were in a stable condition and were taken to the Pretoria Academic Hospital for further treatment.

More details could not be immediately obtained.

Police are not sure if its race related or not ( just heard this bit on SABC 2 News )

702 said it was a clash between two groups one black the other white... I sometimes think these events are deliberately played down. If this happened in the UK, a camera crew would have been there with a chopper, a news reporter would have been in the school reporting etc...

We also had a racial clash in school two weeks ago.
My daughter said it was so bad the police had to be called as the teachers feared for their lives.

The kids (both black and white) were temporarily suspended to cool off.
Now the parents are fighting!

mmmmmm. taking a knife to a fist fight again. they should not be allowed to go back to school. send them to jail. I can tell you now that they will be the future criminal in SA anyway. black or white it does not matter

Blatant racism? For what? Did I say that the black race was subservient to the white race or did I say that the black "society" was was more violent than white "society"?

There is a difference and if you cannot see it, then you are dooming black africa to the sh*t pile. Do you want africa to remain a war torn, empoverished, place, seeing no ROI on their resources that are being extracted and sent abroad? Is that your secret desire?

White society did not get there by accident, we had the dark ages. Most people have no clue what really went on in that period. They see castles and knights of the round table etc wihtout seeing the true reason it is called the Dark Ages.

It was bad, people died on the whims of the rulers. Not so different from Africa with the exception that the level of technology used at that time was far higher than that used by average africans today. If it were not for the work of a few good men, that looked at their world, understood the values that made it so, and saw a set of values that would improve it, we would still be living in that quagmire. Thus a discussion of values is the only thing that will save africa.

But people like you don't want to hear anything on it. You probably see no problem with those murderous scrum that brought knives to a fist fight. Someone annoys me and sprays me with water is going to get the **** beaten out of them, but I would not aim to cause grievous, and permanent body damage. Bruises, pain, and humiliation, but nothing permanent. Yet these yobs came to school prepared to kill. And you are, by your actions, defending them? Are we not allowed to discuss how they came to believe that their actions would be acceptable?

The black and white were references to types of societies, yet you chose to see it as racial, who is the racist here?

In the UK the cops would also be knocking on their parent's house looking to take them to jail ;)
