1. Does the WOW connection drop and you go to the login screen when using a cellphone for your Internet connection and the towers change or switch between 3G and GPRS or does it just get a delay/pause and continue as normal?
2. Anybody got WOW playing in Ubuntu or WINE at the same speed it would play on the same machine if windows was installed?

Reason im asking is I catch the business express train every morning and afternoon for a hour each time (they have plug points and desks for laptops but no Internet connection yet) so was wondering if I get myself a cell-C contract or data bundle if Ill be able to play "OK" (no raiding) while on the train. Haven't played in a bit, but want to start again when the expansion hits. And yes im using Ubuntu.

I have experienced pauses with the switch from 3g to gprs but from gprs to 3g the connection times out.

Your second question I believe it would be slightly slower due to emulation using more resources. I'm not sure to be honest though so I cannot give you an accurate answer.

i used to do it in england on the train between birmingham and london, and it lags badly. its about good enough to do dailies and talk bollocks with people, and probably mats farming, but definitely not raiding or even dungeons. and if you go thru a tunnel or the like...

no idea regarding question 2
