These are both actually the same car with a different skin, right? Wouldn't pee on a french car if it was on fire. Peugeot and Renault after sales service both truly awful... and as for parts costs.

Peugeot, Renault and Citroen always share the same platforms. The only distinction is the branding and marketing. Are you saying the 208 and Clio are not the same car underneath?

Aah, okay, forgive my ignorance. Despite this they make indistinguishable boring cars that look truly interchangeable in all respects. Having had the misfortune of owning both a Renault and a Peugeot I can testify that the service is also interchangeably awful.

So, you don't think the new Clio is a good looking car? I started this thread, because I think their new designs are big improvements on what went before. From what I can see, this design language is also going to be used in their other cars. As for your bad service... I have a colleague (company rep), who drove a diesel Laguna to 300 000km's with nothing but praise for the car and the dealer. French car parts are also not that expensive and the latest Kinsey Report shows that.

Sadly the French cars are carrying a huge weight on their shoulders in SA.
Service and parts has radically improved over the past 2 or 3 years, but it's going to take a while to get beyond that.
Both cars look great to me, just hope that they get a chance to prove themselves.
