Hi Group,

Lots of questions, the most important to me would be the first two, so I could do some shopping/comparisons.

Could someone give me a list of ISPs offering ADSL in the Cape Town area?

Which ISP would you recommend?

Which ADSL modem do you recommend? (Not USB)

Anyone in the Cape Town area, how long from order to up and running?

How has the service been in Cape Town?

Most ISPs should have a PoP in the major cities so you shouldn't have to look for one in CT specifically

I ordered my ADSL just before Christmas and my installation date is this Friday. Must say I am pretty impressed with the Telkom service - esp over this time of year. As for ISP, I am with Imaginet and will be using their ADSL subscription. I've been very happy on ISDN with them and see no reason to change. As for modems, I mailed my ISP to ask what they would recommend and I was advised to go for the BIPAC one. It has USB and Ethernet which is very nice

Now I just need my ADSL installed...
